They giggle again.
MARY
We’ll let you get unpacked.
The two leave the room. Cait looks around her. The room is completly white, the carpet, the walls, the bead spread, the only thing beautiful about it was the view. The huge window had an amazing view of the city. Cait closed the door and walked over to the window and leaned her back against the wall she slides down to the floor and tears begin to run down her face.
INT. CAIT’S BEDROOM - MORNING
Cait awakes in her room fog rolling in outside her window. She gets out of bed and gets dressed. She opens her door and walks down the stairs. she sees ELIZA THOMAS about 45 dark hair slim figure about the size of Mary’s, lying on a couch in the expansive living room. Cait finds her cousins in the kitchen eating breakfast and reading magazines, at a table at one of the ends of the kitchen.
CAIT

MARY
Thats our mom.
CAIT
(half suprised)
Oh ..... why is she just laying there?
JULIE
She’s always sleeping, she has a disorder.
MARY

Mary and Julie continue to eat, ingnoring Cait.
MARY
Oh, help yourself theres waffles in the freezer and cereal in the pantry, milk in the fridge got it?
CAIT
Yeah, sure.
Cait goes to the freezer and opens it as the waffles as well as a bag of ice and a gallon of ice cream fall onto her feet the ice breaking open.
JULIE
Nice one.
Cait picks up the waffles and puts them on the counter and trys to pick up the broken bag of ice and put the ice cream back. Mary and Julie just ignoring her and not helping. ELIZA THOMAS enters from the living room. Eliza speaks with an upper class english acent.

FIVE YEARS LATER
EXT. SFSU CAMPUS-DAY-ESTABLISHING
People are walking all around. The sound of traffic is nearby. The sun is shining. On a bench in the middle of the campus courtyard Cait sits reading with her trusty messenger bag by her side, when Andrew walks over to her. Class has just gotten out.
ANDREW
You look like you could use some rum.
Cait laughs.
CAIT
I could definatley go for some of that.
ANDREW
So what do you say we forget how dreadful our little lives are while we get some drinks at the little pub on 12th.
CAIT
I better be careful though. I have mid-terms coming up.
Besides that, by the time i get one drink down I’ll have
swelled up like a blow fish.
ANDREW
I can’t say that was a nice mental image.
Cait stands up from the bench.
CAIT
Well, if you can carry me to the car I’ll let! you buy me a drink.
ANDREW
I don’t know if i could do that. Remember your the huge oger queen I’m just little prince charming.
CAIT
Prince charming turned into a frog again?
They both laugh.
ANDREW
How about you walk to the car and you by both of us a drink.
Cait
I have a better one. We take Mary and she buys all of us a drink with Uncle Bert’s money.
ANDREW
Sounds like a plan to me!
INT. MURPHY’S BAR - NIGHT
Inside the bar Cait and Mary sit at the counter with beers in front of them. Inside its dark with festive lights of shamrocks. You can tell the owner is bosting that his/her ethnicity is 100% Irish. Its large enough for it to be difficult to find someone inside. Its noisy with celtic music blaring.
CAIT
Whats taking him so long?
Shouting to each other over the noise.
MARY
How should i know?
Cait looks around her trying to find Andrew.
CAIT
OK then. So maybe I should go find him.
Mary looks around her shoulder for him too.
MARY
Here he comes, but whos that with him.
CAIT
I don’t know.
MARY
That is what I call good scenery.
DALE DOBSON and Andrew have come to the counter and now sit next to the two
girls. Dale has blond curly hair he is about as tall as Andrew, and he has hazel eyes. He is quite comely and pleasant to look at.
ANDREW
Hey chicklets this is Dale we were buds, the best of, when i lived in montana. He’s just moved here. He’s staying in the south side.
DALE
I got promoted and had to re -locate to the San Fransisco branch. I’m not sure i mind though the people here are exceedinlgy more beautiful then in New York.
CAIT
(muttering to herself)
Oh please.
MARY
So, you moved here from New York not Montana?
DALE
Yeah, I moved there shortly after Andrew came here.
ANDREW
So how long are you in town?
DALE
Well, it seems that i’ll be here for a long time at least a year.
ANDREW
We’re going to have to show ya ‘round then. What are you doing tomorrow night?
DALE
Picking up my sis at the airport.
ANDREW

DALE

Andrew grabs a napkin from the counter and takes a pen out of his pocket and writes the needed information on it.
EXT. MURPHY’S BAR - NIGHT
Andrew and Cait converse outside while walking to thier car.
CAIT
I can’t believe you forgot about the tickets.
Cait walks across the street and Andrew follows.
ANDREW
Cait, I’m sorry.
CAIT

ANDREW

CAIT

They continue to walk to thier car, a new convertable beetle.
ANDREW
Well at least I didnt stand you up so I could see Gina.
CAIT
Yes but that thought wasnt even going through your mind was it?
Andrew laughs.
ANDREW
I scared you! I scared you!
CAIT
No, you would never scare me unless of course you went streaking and got run over by a trolly car and then reserected yourself and ran to the golden gate and jumped off it.
ANDREW
That gives me an idea.
They reach their car ,get in, and drive away.
INT. THE CRUSH - NIGHT
A very posh and sophistacated resturaunt the lights are dim, the jazz music low ,and the food amazing. Cait, Mary, Julie, and Andrew sit at a table with drinks, mingleing and anticipating the arrival of Dale and Gina.
MARY
Do they know how late they are?
JULIE
Some think being late is fasionable.
CAIT
Thats only what self absorbed people tell themselves. Oh,
well i guess that would fit the description wouldnt it?
ANDREW
Whoa, nelly. They happen to be really nice once you get to know them.
MARY
And hot.
JULIE
What?
MARY
You know you were thinking it too!
JULIE
OK, you caught me. Wait I haven’t met them yet!
MARY
(In a Dreamy manner)
Dale is like a rose; smooth and intoxicateing.
CAIT
With nasty thorns waiting to hurt you at any second.
DALE AND GINA DOBSON walk down the stairs to the lounge under the formal dining room above. Gina is a exquisite beauty wearing the latest trends from london. Long Dark hair and sparkling brown eyes stair Cait in the face. Gina takes the word beautiful to a differant level. Gina and Dale now stand in front of Mary Dale and Cait.
DALE
You guys are lucky we made it! Why arent there any white people in this country. Gees! There was so many Aisan people running into me I thought I was going to die!
CAIT
Have you ever heard the phrase `Free Country’? If you really wanted an answer as to why there are `No white people’ or so YOU say that would be your answer’.
DALE
(in a very suprised tone)
Aww, yes. Well let me introduce my sister. Gina this is the fair Mary...
Gina smiles at Mary and shakes her hand.
DALE
And Cait...
CAIT
Hi.
DALE

GINA
(with a smile)
And Andrew.
Andrew grins and blushes.
ANDREW
Glad you remember me.
